So you’re probably an intelligent person
and you want to start making money on the internet via Pinterest affiliate
marketing but you have no capital to put into the business.
Fear not because today, I am going to be
showing you how you can start Pinterest affiliate marketing as a beginner and
do it all for free in 2024.
Without further delay, lets begin because I
know you are just itching to get to the money-making part. (if you are not, you
should)
STEP 1: Creating and Optimizing Your Pinterest
Account.
This is quite a no brainer and anyone can
figure it out as you need a Pinterest account to start Pinterest affiliate
marketing. I mean, the name is literally Pinterest affiliate marketing.
To do this, simply go to pinterest.com and
signup for an account. Mind you, it doesn’t end here.
Sub step 2: convert your Pinterest account
to a business Pinterest account. This is because when doing Pinterest affiliate
marketing, there are many features of a business account that come in handy and
you can’t get on a generic personal account. Some of them include;
1.
the ability to link to a website. This is very
essential because if you can’t link to a website, you can’t do Pinterest
affiliate marketing.
2.
Tracking and monitoring your
progress as a creator.
3.
The ability to know your daily
reach and views and as well optimize your profile to suit it.
4.
Lastly, the ability to run
advertisements when needed. (I am not going to go through that today as all we
are talking about is the free method. Besides you may not have the money to run
ads. No offence.)
To convert your personal account to a
business account;
A.
Click on the drop-down menu at
the top right.
B.
Click on convert to a business
account.
C.
Follow through with the
process.
D.
Click upgrade to finalize the
process.
Sub step 3: make your account look
professional.
The importance of a professional looking
account cannot be stressed or emphasized enough. The more professional your
account looks and feels the more viewers feel safe and want to follow through
with what you present to them.
Would you follow an account that has a
shabby profile picture, doesn’t even have a banner and well written
description?
Or would you purchase from a Pinterest page
that looks pretty sketchy?
I guess you will say no. if you said yes
then, go ahead and create a Pinterest account and hope to make money from it.
Come back and tell me the results in the comments. I would love to see it.
Back to topic, to make your account as
professional as you can, simply follow the following steps below.
a.
Create a logo and put it as
your profile picture or simply put a profile picture that is well taken. To
create a logo, you can simply go to canva.com, select a template and design it
to your liking. Don’t worry, it is totally free. (in this post, all the tools I
will mention are going to be completely free.)
b.
Add a banner or background
photo. To do this, you can simply get a picture from the internet about your
niche. For example, if you are in the fitness niche, simply get a picture of
the gym or people doing exercise. Do not put a picture from any other unrelated
niche. This can greatly ruin your Pinterest page.
c.
Write a well-crafted
description for your Pinterest page. To do this, you can simply go to chat gpt
and enter a prompt for it to generate a spectacular descriptions. (NOTE: don’t
enter a generic prompt like: generate a description for a Pinterest page for
me. Be very specific. If you want to get the prompts I use for chat gpt to
generate human like responses, click here.)
Or you can simply craft a
hand written description for your page unless you are lazy like me and you
don’t want to think too much.
Once you have completed the following steps
listed above, your page should be looking spectacular and ready to start making
you some money.
This is the end of step 1 and you should
not rest once you are done with step one. Move on to step two immediately
before you get overwhelmed by that lazy self of yours.
STEP 2: Sign Up For An Affiliate Program Relating
To Your Niche.
This is probably the most important part of
Pinterest affiliate marketing as there is no affiliate marketing without an
affiliate program.
You would want to go ahead and look for
affiliate programs in your niche that will resonate with your audience. E.g.,
if you are in the travel niche, do not sign up for a fitness affiliate program.
You are merely wasting your time.
STEP 3: Create Content That Gives Value To Your
Viewers.
One thing to know when trying to sell
something or when trying to make money especially on the internet is that you
have to offer value to people in order for them to buy.
This is simple psychology of business or
selling. If you have even the slightest idea about affiliate marketing, it is
selling whether you term it direct or indirect.
Since it is selling, the psychology of
selling also applies to it. The main point is that you have to offer value if
you want people to purchase from you.
And this is why you have to create content
that offers value to your viewers.
Sub step 1: choose a way of content
creation.
There are many ways with which you can do
this, but, for the purpose of this topic, I am going to stick to the three main
ways. These are;
1.
Blogging. This is simply
writing blog posts that are meaningful and relevant to your audience just like
I am doing right now.
If you want to take this
approach to offering value to your viewers, there are two main ways;
a.
Using google blogger or other
free websites to blog and create articles.
b.
Purchasing a domain where you
can base your efforts. This is completely easy to do when you use the right
hosting and website builder.
Here is some advice, when purchasing a
domain, use hostinger as your website builder. It is beginner friendly.
2.
Creating videos: this Is also a
very effective way of offering value to your audience. This can be done through
websites like YouTube, TikTok, imgur, Instagram etc. essentially, this focuses
on video content.
3.
Creating visual content.
Sub step 2. Preparing the content.
If you are going with the
blogging style of content creation, you don’t need to be a very imaginative or
creative person as you do not need to write all your blog posts by yourself.
You can simply use artificial intelligence to write them, all you have to do is
simply review these blog posts and post them to your website or blog.
The tool that I personally
use is called Seo writing.ai. it is a content generating ai that helps to
generate Seo optimized blog posts. All you have to do is enter your prompts.
Don’t worry, it is
completely free. Simply click here to create a free account.
STEP 4: Input Your Affiliate Links Into Your Prepared
Content.
This is one of the most important steps in Pinterest
affiliate marketing. To do this, make sure that the topics of your blog posts
relate either directly or indirectly to the affiliate offer that you are
promoting.
Then, you stylishly and wisely input your
affiliate links into your blog posts. Make sure not to do this too much as it
will seem spammy and most times will disgust your viewers.
STEP 5: Graphics and Image Creation For Pinterest.
If you have been on Pinterest, you would
find that Pinterest is a platform for visual content and only visual content
alone thrives on the platform.
To take advantage of this for our Pinterest
affiliate marketing, we need to follow suit and create visually appealing
content.
To do this, you can use canva.com once
again.
All you have to do is create an account or
login if you already have one and search for Pinterest image templates.
Click on it and select a template you like.
Once you are done selecting your template, you can simply edit its text fonts,
the shape, size and whatever you want to change to however you want it and you
are good to go.
STEP 6: Publish Your Design On Pinterest.com And
Link Back To Your Blog.
I need not explain this step do I? it is
very simple, just go to Pinterest, click on the menu and select create a post.
Once you do this, you can upload your image, add a description, make sure to
input your blog post link into the links section and post it.
STEP 7: Repeat The Process.
In this business model, repetition and
consistency is key to achieving great things. If you want to make actual profit
from Pinterest affiliate marketing, stick to it and be consistent.
And that brings us to the end of this
process. If you loved this post or you feel like someone else should see it,
feel free to share it. Also, leave a comment on what you don’t understand or
what you want me to treat next time. Byee.
